Dave

Is a great man and has changed my life along with many others!! you can see his story HERE.

He goes by The Seven Baby Steps Here they are.

The Seven Baby Steps

Begin your journey to financial peace

New to Dave? Learn about Dave and his company.

Get out of debt the same way you learned to walk—one step at a time. Dave has taught these principles to millions via radio, books, Financial Peace University, live events and online. Here's the process:

Baby Step 1
Baby Step 1

$1,000 to start an Emergency Fund

An emergency fund is for those unexpected events in life that you can’t plan for: the loss of a job, an unexpected pregnancy, a faulty car transmission, and the list goes on and on. It’s not a matter of if these events will happen; it’s simply a matter of when they will happen. Learn more

Baby Step 2
Baby Step 2

Pay off all debt using the Debt Snowball

List your debts, excluding the house, in order. The smallest balance should be your number one priority. Don’t worry about interest rates unless two debts have similar payoffs. If that’s the case, then list the higher interest rate debt first. Learn more

Baby Step 3
Baby Step 3

3 to 6 months of expenses in savings

Once you complete the first two baby steps, you will have built serious momentum. But don’t start throwing all your “extra” money into investments quite yet. It’s time to build your full emergency fund. Learn more

Baby Step 4
Baby Step 4

Invest 15% of household income into Roth IRAs and pre-tax retirement

When you reach this step, you’ll have no payments—except the house—and a fully funded emergency fund. Now it’s time to get serious about building wealth. Learn more

Baby Step 5
Baby Step 5

College funding for children

By this point, you should have already started Baby Step 4—investing 15% of your income—before saving for college. Whether you are saving for you or your child to go to college, you need to start now. Learn more

Baby Step 6
Baby Step 6

Pay off home early

Now it’s time to begin chunking all of your extra money toward the mortgage. You are getting closer to realizing the dream of a life with no house payments. Learn more

Baby Step 7
Baby Step 7

Build wealth and give!

It’s time to build wealth and give like never before. Leave an inheritance for future generations, and bless others now with your excess. It's really the only way to live! Learn more

Rumors and Life

With all the rumors of lay offs going on at my DH's JOB it makes me think more about me staying home. I am always wondering if going back to work is right for me because I cannot seem to be a good housewife. Now that the time is looking more realistic that I may have to go back to work I am reevaluating my thoughts. As much as I loved working and believe me I really did love it. I really think my place is in the home. I love my kids and I love my home. Whether messy or not it is home. I have been taking steps to make it not so messy. In all and all tho I have a lot more work to do. Hay you don't become cluttered overnight and it isn't going to become uncluttered over night either. While I do realize I could hire someone to help me and maybe it would happen over night. I don't have the money to do that so for now it will have to be a week to week project. Don't get me wrong IF I have to go back to work I am gonna put my all into work and I probley fall in love with working again but I know my heart is and will be torn in two wanting to be home.

What I am reading.

I am reading a new book "Life's Greatest Lessons" by Hal Urban. I am only on the second one and I already can tell you this is a GREAT book! Everyone should own one. Today I read a quote that he used in his classroom as a high school teacher. It hit home and thought I would share it with everyone.

The good news is that the best season of your life can be ahead of you no matter what your age or circumstances-If you choose to make it so-Because 90% of your potential is not only untapped and unused, but also undiscovered. That's not just good news, it's incredible news! -Tim Hansel

Debbie Downer Day

I don't know where this saying came from but today is DDD. Debbie Downer Day!

I HATE TOYS. My kids have to many toys my hubby has to many toys I wish I could say I have to many toys but I really don't have any.

I WISH MY PARENTS WOULD HAVE TAUGHT ME BETTER LIFE SKILLS. ie cleaning and organizing skills. I guess I shouldn't expect someone that has none them selves to teach there children.
My goal is to learn some so my kids have them.

I HATE DEPRESSION. When I need the most uplift is when it always creeps back into my life dam it! Will it ever go away. Nope I think that is a long lost dream.
