Moms struggles

As I sit here on this freezing night writing to you all. I am yet to wonder a lot of things in life. Small things to big things. I have been reading The Duggars 20 and Counting. I love this family and not just on the fact that they have so many children and stay sane but the fact that they are great people. There book unlike their show goes more in depth of who they are and what they stand for. They have opened my eyes more in the way the lord wants us to be. Not that the book is preachy at all. I really feel inspired by them and have been trying to be better. I know mother hood is hard and boy at times harder then we think we can handle but you know we come threw, we always do. Now tho I want to come threw better I want my children to be better then me and to learn from me to be that better person. Example I have noticed the big one yelling a lot lately and saying he is angry. I thought about this and he is just acting like me. So I prayed to god to help me and give me some extra strength to handle my anger. You know this may sound weird but I really feel like he has been helping me. I find I am not yelling as much and trying to get him to calm down easier by talking with him instead of yelling at him.

Brody is now pulling himself up on things and crawling all around. I can not leave him for a moment. The hardest is at bed time he keeps pulling himself up on his bed and crying because he don't know how to get himself down. My book I love to reference back to says to let him cry and figure it out but it is so hard. I usually can let him cry it out. I am a big fan of cry it out. I just have a hard time when I know he is holding on to the bed for dear life and does not know how to bring himself back down. So I am lost as to what to do with him for the moment on this matter. I think I may have to buck it up and let him cry it out. 

Carson surprised me this weekend and sat on Santa's lap. Boy if he only knew his momma would of rather of died then go near the man. He is such a big boy!!! Oh and I still hate going near him or even clowns for that matter LOL. He is excited about Christmas he is counting down the days. I wish it wasn't going to be here so soon tho. I love having the tree up and all the lights it is so warm and cozy to look at. Well I better go I am getting tired and still have so much to do. Till next time. Have a great night and stay warm!!!!

Dark Night and Colds

Well last night me and my DH watched The Dark Night. If you haven't seen the movie I really think it is a must. Al tho the movie was good it still had a sence of sadness due to the fact that Heath Ledger is no longer with us. I can say it was his best work!!!!

We have been dealing with Car saying "I don't like you" to the DH. We are not sure where this stemmed from. Last night we were thinking about it and it may have started when I left to go to Walgreen's and didn't take him. If you know me you know my children are always with me. I guess when I left he was very upset! Not only has he been saying that to DH but he has been VERY clingy when he comes home. So I think that was the problem. Who knows with kids. Speaking of kids I am so done with my kids being sick. Since we were on our way home from dear OK. They have been sick. I thought Bro was getting better now he has started coughing again. So who knows. Bro has been to the doctor 2x antibiotic 1x which did help his cough but now it is back. Car been 2x and antibiotics for now 8 days seems better but not completely. I just don't know what to do. Today I cleaned all the baby toys for the second time and went around with disinfectant wipes and wiped down door handles and things that are touched. What else it there. This winter has been horrible with colds. Dam OK!!!!! O well what can you do.

Update on exercising haven't done it but I have been paying more attention to my eating so not all a waste. We will see when I weigh myself Friday.

Thanksgiving

Every Thanksgiving we have gone to the Circus after we eat. This year was Brodys first time and my brother and his girlfriend Came along. We had fun.





 

Crazy times and pics

Most of  you know my sons love of Thomas the Train. My mom found this at Home Depot and need I say more that he has made the holidays. Every day it is it Thomas up, is Thomas up? Every day I have to explain to him that he comes up at night. It is so cute tho. He was so happy to see him when he rose up he even gave him a kiss. 

While we have had this tent for years, sorry Nate. I finally decided to put it up. Grama decided to join in the fun too. That crazy grama.

Time for a change!

I always say this and never follow threw. So I am gonna try my best to stick with it and hopefully not fall off the wagon. LOL!!
Well some of you know I started exercising back in Sept and was doing very well. I really hadn't changed my eating habit so really did not loose any weight. I did however feel a lot better then I was emotionally speaking. So In Oct when my knee started acting up I quit doing anything. It is now time to start up again. Why because my depression is coming back and I hate feeling this way!!!! It seems to stay away if I exercise so that is what I need!!! Today I was woken by the little one at 4:45am and while I was not to happy I thought to myself why not make the best of it. I kept tell myself I would start at the first of the year. In the back of my head I kept saying that is what you say every year and never follow threw. So why keep doing what doesn't work. So okay I have set new goals for myself and I really think these are good goals not ones that I will let myself down with.

GOAL

To loose 5 lb a month. 

well A pound a week. 

IF I loose more good but that is the goal.

Why this number because let see

=152 

While yes 152 is still to heavy for me it is a realistic number for a year. If you ask me a great number since I haven't seen it since 2001. So back on my Wii and we will see where this goes. If all fails at least, I hope my depression will be more at bay. 

Want a Laugh

Morning of laundry and tears

So this morning I had to fold my laundry that has been down stairs for 2 days. So before the big one awoke I thought I would get it all done. I got it done and when he woke I got him his morning drink and told him be right back I am gonna check my email. So I come up here to check email and was gone for oh 10 min.

 As I walked down the hall way I hear a laugh it was Brody which didn't alarm me because he thinks Car is the best thing next to boobie juice.

Well I never thought I would see this. My dear son had all my nicely folded cloths piled on top of Brody and if I wasn't so pissed I should of taken a picture to remember it oh and share it. Needless to say I explained to my son why that was such a bad thing as tears where coming down and sat him in time out. So we are both crying as I pick up the clothing. So hopefully my day gets better. I thought I would share my funny yet horrible morning with you.

Quiet for the moment.

So I sit here in peace and quiet for the moment. The big one is with papaw and the little one is taking a nap. Oh how I miss the peace and silent of no children talking, yelling or crying. I have been very moody lately and am really happy to get the peace and quiet time.

So life's reality is about to happen to NWI I am afraid. What has given this area its financial power is and may come to a slow end. Hopefully we do not see this happen but I am afraid to say I think it is coming. As the Post said massive layoffs could be coming in January to burns harbor steel plant. SAD yes many of you in this area if you don't have someone close to you work there you know someone who does. Like I said hopefully it will not come to this, but I can't help but sit and wonder what could happen to the other steel companies around us if this happens.

Maybe it is time to look with in our selves this Christmas and realize what the season is all about. You know if we change things now our children won't know the difference later. I know as a child that was brought up spoiled I wish I would of known more of the simple things in life. Spending time with family and learning things from my grandparents. Time went by quick and so will time for our children. I want my children to love to spend time with there grandparents and elders and learn from my life and from the others that lived before them.

So are you doing anything different this year for the holidays because of the economy? I know we are watching our spending. I would love to hear and learn from others on what they do that is priceless holiday fun.So we all can learn from each other in this tough finical times. So I got woken by a phone call from my hubby.


DH: Honey you are never gonna guess what happened.
ME: What

DH: Our cars gotten broken into. You forgot to lock your door and your car got it to.
ME: What

DH: Yeah
ME: OH SHIT

DH: They took a Sweat shirt and long sleeve shirt out of my truck and I can't see anything missing out of yours other then them going threw the storage area.
ME: REALLY weird.

DH: Go out side and you look make sure everything is in there.
ME: OK

Well come to find out they did take something. All my change and that was all. not the GPS not the $80 bit not the radar detector or the dvd player in the back the list could go on. Just about $5.00 in change. So I wasn't gonna bother to report it but I saw a cop car go down our street. So I decided I thought I should. Come to find out the neighbors down the road also got only Change stolen from there car.

So it makes me wonder is it kids being hoodrats or is it a homeless person needing money and warmth? Humm I guess we may find out. Come to find out the people down the road have a security system and when her hubby gets home he will look at it to see if they can see the person or people. It makes me wonder and think what is in store when the economy gets really bad now much more of this will be happening? It is my hubbys 3rd break in this year. 

IF I were a boy.

In light of the new song by Beyonce.  I got to thinking what would you do or of done if you were a boy? I think this song is so true for many women in this world and young women learning what life is about. 

Ok so what would I do?

I would fart in public. I can't for the life of me so I think if I were a boy I would be able to. Why do I say that cuz boys just don't care. 

Pumpkins

Well my mom and me went shopping with the boys on Saturday. Did find anything for me of course but my mom had promised Carson some pumpkins. so she got him 3. Two little ones and one big one. After looking at it closer I read this.

Needless say the pumpkins are going back to Target.

Thomas the Train

Well I haven't gotten around to writing this week so I thought I would come on and tell you at least what we did. We took the boys to the day out with Thomas. It was a lot of fun! There were a lot more things to do this time but the nice thing about last year was there was half if not less the half of the people there. O well we had fun!!! 

Potty training is going good he really has not had that many mistakes whoo hoo. He did go poo on the potty so that is a good thing to. Today he got his little potty messy so I told him he had to go in the big potty. He wasn't happy but once he did it once it was smooth sailing from then on. We will see what the weekend holds. I hope it doesn't ruin what we already have done.

Home sweet home

So it is Sat and I think this is the first sat in a long time we have stayed home. We are well I am potty training my son. So far it is going really well. We are taking him to a special outing tomorrow so he will be so happy when he sees where we are going. I will post pics Monday!!  The swing set is almost all the way up. My parents keep asking about it and I keep telling them it would be up all the way if they would come over  and help. LOL I wish it wasn't so hot out I would take him out there to swing. He has been asking when a swing will be on it. There is one now and he hasn't seen it yet. If you are a local reader Ultra has a lot of good deals this week 12/$10.00 I got what usually would cost 1.50 a pack for .81 can't pass that up!!!!  Of course I got 12 at that price. Well I better get going my bread is cooking and it is making me really hungry! LOL snack time.

Working out

OK I found a new work out and I mean it is a workout for sure. It is not being very frugle that I bought this but if I don't use it I am sending it back within a month. I will send it back and they will refund my money back. So I did it the instructional video and I am sweating like a pig and stink so it will work just have to do it. Here it is!

So time will tell I have ALOT  of weight to loose so today is day 1 and it took me years to put it on it will take Hopefully a year or 2 to take it off!!

Firsts and Camping

Well so let see what has been going on. Bro ate cereal for the first time last week and he acted like a pro at first but now he seems to hate it. Boys that is all I have to say. 

Well we went camping this weekend and mom forgot to look to see what was going on there. Every weekend well just about there is something going on. This weekend was Halloween. Since we forgot to look he didn't have a costume so my aunt made up this for him you use your imagination to decide what he is. They had a hunted go cart ride that we took him on it. He loved it! Oh and it was a bit scary if you ask me. I thought for sure  he would of got really scared but he didn't he wanted to go back to see the monsters. That is all I heard about for the next day. LOL.

Man every weekend is consumed with things to do now that Car is older. This coming weekend is a work party and the town carnival. I can't wait the work party has the best sandwiches ever!! 

SHIT what a DORK

I now have realized that my potty mouth needs to stop. While coming home from eating last night we hit a huge bump in the road. I not really paying attention like normal said OH SHIT. My DS in the back says OH SHIT. Well that was the first cuss word he has ever said. LOL It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. It made me realize that I need to start watching what I say. NO FUN. This morning I called him a dork cuz he did something silly and he said, "No mommy you are a dork." Oh great that isn't good either Owell I guess better me teach him bad things to say then Joe schmo at daycare.

Min Vac.

What a min vacation!! We had alot of fun but in the same sence it wasn't realaxing at all. What should I have expected with 2 kids. 

Places we went to

The Aquarium - Was a lot of fun but really not worth the money. Car liked it so that is all that mattered.

Go Carts day one- Was blast!

DollyWood- It was not as fun but we did see Vegetales and The Krutz brothers fromn Zaommafoo however you spell it. 

Go Carts again- While there the second time we say Johnny knocksville. He having a lot of funneedless to say. He did wreck Carson and Chad. It was quite funny.

We also mined- Which was fun but not worth the $35. O well carson had fun. 

We walked around Gatlingsburg too it was raining so not to much fun. Tho I did go to a candy shop that I went to as a child and got some salt water taffy Yummo. It was so good. We went swimming. It was Brodys first time and at first all he did was cry.

So all and all we had a good time and spent alot less money then usual on a vacation. 

Speed Racer and fun

What a weekend! Lots of fun and unforgettable times. The DH put more of the swing set/ fort up and boy all we heard is thank you thank you about a dozen time. It was so cute. We also went to Chicagoland Speedway. I had bought my hubby a ride along for Christmas so we went to go and watch him do it. Next time I am doing it to. It looks like so much fun. I said that last time but I really do mean it this time LOL. Today I am getting a lot of much need laundry done. I hate doing it but it is a must I am almost done just  got bro's to do and fold some more and it will be done. Well I will post some pics of the weekend enjoy.

Weeks fun!

So This week has been a blast gone by way to quick but fun. We went to the park and feed the ducks along with a ground hog how cool is that!

We also went to the Porter Co. Fair spent way to much money!! How can they charge $7.00 for a adult to get in. It just doesn't seem right when you know that they are banking in the money. O well we will remember that next year. I tell you if it wasn't for the food we wouldn't go. Tonight is the Pirogi fest I can't wait. I love all there food they have there. I wounder why I am so fat LOL. 

Fun weekend

Well what a weekend. I keep trying to find things that are cost effective and fun to do on the weekends. This weekend was fun. We went to a small fair on Sat instead of the big one. I figured it would save money and we would still get cotton candy which is the main reason for going. LOL. So we went there and after we went to chukie cheese just to play. we got 2 drinks and tokens and called it a day. It was great for $35 we got to play and have a lot of left over tokens for next time. My DH also started the swing set/fort. Sunday he picked up where he left off and worked on the swing set more. We also cooked out at our house for the family. Which turned out to be great! We didn't eat outside for one it was way to hot. Well the swing set isn't completely done but it will be sooner then later.   

In laws gone and my mind with it.

Wow my In laws are gone the 4th weekend has passed too and you would think things could go back to normal. Nope this weekend my cousin is in from NC but it isn't as fun as it use to be. When she would come in the past she spent alot of time with us. This time and the last time they have came I feel as tho it isn't the same. It is different she has a sister in law and my other cousin her younger sister is much more into seeing her now that she has grown and out of college it is nice to see them spend more time together but it also hurts too. It is all good tho. We went over to there hotel last night and the boys all went swimming. It was a blast!! While we really missed Brody's bed time and he was a pain in the rear to sleep it was all worth it. I love spending time with her and the kiddos. Ok so what else has been going on. Really not to much well how can I say that with a 3 year old and a 3 month old. A lot has been going on. Just today Car sat in timeout for 45 min. Why would I do that. He hit the dog and wouldn't apologies to him. So I had to show him who is boss. Well needless to say he said he wouldn't do it again but he didn't say sorry to the dog. O well I guess I will take one or nothing. He is so much like me it is scary. He is off with his daddy today to go the air show. Me are Brody are going to go to the fair with my mom. So I guess I should get off here and start getting ready.

All I can say is this is so true. I am my self trying not to be one of those kinds of consumers. It is really hard tho. I have also decided to live more green in turn it will also help us to create less consumer waste. Oh and help us live within our means. We have caused our self to become a Jones and I don't want that. I want to live more simple and hopefully with the steps that we are taking we will get there sooner then later.

Our weekend was crazy we decided to go camping at the last min. Can you say what a pain in the ass!!! Needless to say we got down there on Friday and left on Saturday late evening. It was mostly boring seeing it rained probably more then half of the time we were there. I can say I did enjoy sitting around at my aunt and uncles house talking with them, wish we would of gone over there sooner when it was raining. Needless to say we were just gonna leave then but decide not to that we would stay until Sunday morning. When we got back to the camper and started a fire. We noticed a storm coming in. We checked our radar and decided we would just leave that night still. So off in the car we went home. I am glad I got to sleep in my own bed there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
Well I need to get off of here my husbands family is coming in from OK and I need to get some more cleaning done. So off to do that!! To many goals to even put down.

Oh one big goal! Not to go crazy while my In laws are here.
I say this because I am finding myself slipping into depression again. No fun when there will be a entire house full of people and no place to get away.

Last couple of days

This week has been going by so quickly not much saying today is only Tue but Sun and Mon where gone to quickly. I am sitting here looking at my calander for the summer and need I say we are busier and busier then ever. Something every weekend from pretty much now until the end of summer. Wow We have family coming up the weekend after next and we were gona go camping this weekend. I am thinking we shouldn't. We have so much around here that needs to be cleaned! I know it all can't be done as quickly as I would like but hay every little bit helps. Yesterday I cleaned up a area in the garage and cleaned up some stuff in the house. I have so much more to do before they come. It is ok whatever don't get done doesn't they all know I am not a neat person. LOL. Car finially got a 14 block page filled up and now we are going to Chuckie Cheese. The goal is if he sleeps in his bed and does not get up he gets 1 sticker 2 for peeing 1 for sitting on the potty. So it took about 3 weeks to get the 14 blocks filled but hay something is better then nothing. I need to print another one out but of course our computer is being a ass and will not let me. It has a mind of its own lately. It will only let us on sites that it wants us to be on. I haven't been able to check my mail in days. I got on yahoo today only for it to freeze up. I had 112 messages so there they sit and it makes me mad. What is worse is no fantisy racing or myspace. Neither of those pages will let me on either. While I would love to go and buy a new computer we really can not afford to do that. Money isn't horiable but it isn't great either. Well enough about that. So off to clean and play today!! I will update later.

Yesterday was a strange day. I decided to go to Walmart to pick up Carsons birthday inviets and of course I shopped which got told I shouldn't of. Anyhow I didn't spend a lot. When I got home I noticed that the invites year on them say 2007 not 2008 o well I am not spending another $6.00 to redo them I am a cheep butt. I just wrote a 8 over the 7. It will work lol. You know how many people looked at them and didn't notice. I guess they really weren't looking at them.


I was up stairs changing the chunkie monkeys diaper and hear my other monster down stairs screaming. I could tell it wasn't a scream that was I am hurt so I took my time. This is what I came down stairs to see. My monster swinging in the babies swing locked in and he was screaming because he couldn't get out. OH my I would post a picture but I don't know how when you are adding on to a post for the day. Sorry!

As I was getting off here I noticed that my son is trying to go down the stairs in my laundry basket. He has attempted this now 4x. I have talked him out of it as of now hopefully he doesn't think of it when I am not looking.

Sorry, I have not written in her in a while. My computer has been acting up and has been a pain just to be on here for a moment. It all of a sudden started working again. Weird if you ask me but hay I will take it.

So Carson's room did get cleaned and the bed made. Woo Hoo but now it is a mess a little bit. I still need to go threw the closet and clean the stuff out that is not needed.

So this weekend went by so fast 2 birthdays and 1 baby shower. Man Sat was a busy day. Sunday we went shopping when we really shouldn't of. Seeming we have been spending way to much money lately!!! I mean way to much! After that we came home and it started raining boo hoo. It did finally let up and I was able to get outside to plant my tomatoes and watermelon plants. I also cleaned up some of the patio toys. They really still need to be cleaned and painted but I figured at the moment that cleaning them would be good enough. I still have a lot to do back there. So that is on the short list of things that needs to be done. I really need to start writing out my goals and doing them. Ok well lets start.

ER and Clean floors

What a day yesterday!! My hubby called me at 6:30am to tell me that they put his mother in the hospital that night. They are saying she has a clot in her leg. They have not done any kind of test yet well none that we have been told about yet. See she don't call me and tell me anything so I have to wait to hear it from either my sister in law or my hubby. No biggie to me tho. I just hope what ever is wrong with her leg they fix. Well then my DH was running up our stairs for who knows what reason and fell on his knee cap. So we were off to the ER to spend 2.5 hours and be told it was only bruised. Which is great news!!! I said things come in 3's what is next. He said did my mom call you. No hun she doesn't call me. LOL he knows this. Anyhow, His cousins DH on his dads side had a heart attack and died in his sleep. He wasn't even that old maybe late 30's it is so sad. My DH is not close to his cousins and really doesn't even know which cousins DH it was but it is still sad. And he wondered why his blood pressure was so high at the ER.

Other things that happened yesterday!

~Carson fell down the stairs.

~I made a cake to practice what I am doing for his birthday. I put it on the table to cool and said don't touch it I will give you some in a while. Well he did totally ate almost 1 layer. LOL

~My dad got a weird phone call.

Wow what a day!! Only really good thing that happened was Brody slept all threw the night. Of course not last night tho. LOL can't expect to much guess.

~Mom colored my hair and I did hers.

~I did clean my floors on the main living area which is the entry living room, dinning and kitchen area. They look so nice.

I still need to get into Carsons room and clean it. It looks horrible I should take pictures and post before and afters. I will hold on.

Ok so I don't know how to post pictures really yet but I will learn!!!!! Ok so the before and to come the later.

I have found myself looking at others blogs to see what they are all about. You can find blogs about everything! Well I decided mine is gona be about everything in my life as a SAHM.



Today's goal was to do laundry and clean a room LOL. Yeah right my lazy ass has only done 1 load so far and that is it. Well I did clean up the laundry area. I do have some in the dryer right now that I will need to fold here real soon so then I can say I did 2.



My husband has been car pooling since the price of gas has gone up so much. Well last night he made the comment to me that he probley should drive to work tomarrow because it is supposed to rain. So if he can come home he can with out worring. Well of course he didn't drive and the other guy he carpools with just left work. He did tell my DH's boss to tell him but still now my butt has to go out there and get him. I don't even know where to go. What a pain saving gas has caused me today!!!

Update I didn't have to go get him thank god!

In the begining

I have had this blog for quite some time and I have not wrote in it at all. So here it is catch up time. I had my son yes son not daughter on April 2nd. I found out about 2 weeks before giving birth that it was a boy from a U/S done to make sure the baby was head down. If you ask anyone I was close to they knew I thought it was a boy all along. So I had to fun running around and return things to everywhere good thing I kept all my receipts.



OK so now I have 2 little ones at home. It hasn't changed much still lazy and the house that I started to clean is now a mess again. It doesn't take long if you don't keep up on it.
